NDYM UNLOCK NDDC OFFICE IN ONDO STATE

Over the last two weeks, The Niger Delta Youth Movement of Ondo State axis dissented and locked the NDDC branch office in Ondo State at Igbokoda, in a bid to guarantee the commission lives to its credo of creation.

After many days of stampeding the commission in demand of what is best for the mandate region, it stood out enough to be noticed by the Director managing the commission activities since there is no board to head the commission as contained act of the Commission. Comr. Nejo Oriade (CHAIRMAN, ONDO STATE NDYM) calmed the protesters and tended the quintessence of the dissent which is driven on 3 tumults which are: 1 ) The. Federal Government must constitute the board of NDDC within 7 days 2) The Managing Director of the board must be from Ondo State. 3) All abandoned projects of NDDC in mandate area must be completed. Comr. Nejo Oriade on the update from the Sen Apkabio (Minister, Ministry of Niger Delta) that the board will be appointed before month end. we are allowing him few weeks to connect with the more significant position authority and carry out this or, in all likelihood we will return again to lock up the commission till our requests are implied. It is imperative to clearly reiterate our concerned and tireless effort on issues affecting us the mandate area and we will continue to be an advocate for good governance and peaceful co-existence in our region.
